PJ Harvey has been discussing her favourite songs with Savages singer Jenny Beth.
Beth has a weekly show, Start Making Sense, on Apple Music’s radio station Beats 1. Harvey was the guest last night (June 7), picking three of her favourite songs for a mini mixtape.
Harvey’s selections were ‘From Her To Eternity’ by Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds, ‘Dropout Boogie’ by Captain Beefheart And His Magic Band and ‘I Wonder As I Wander’ by John Jacob Niles.
Previous guests on Beth’s show, which began in April, include LCD Soundsystem singer Nancy Whang. The Savages singer is hosting the show for three month, ending in July. Harvey's interview can be heard below, approximately 37 minutes into the show.

Last week (June 2), Harvey premiered the video for new single ‘The Orange Monkey’ from her recent album ‘The Hope Six Demolition Project’. Filmed in Afghanistan, the video was directed by Seamus Murphy.
Harvey headlines Field Day festival on Sunday, before playing Glastonbury on June 26, where she is second on the Other Stage bill behind LCD Soundsystem.
Savages also play at Glastonbury, second on the Park Stage behind Richard Hawley on June 24, before further festival shows in support of their ‘Adore Life’ album. They.play at Reading And Leeds, Electric Picnic and End Of The Road festivals.
